Ed Harrison teaches master classes and clinics throughout the world.

- Demonstration of various techniques
- Performing in different meters
- "RITE Now" time signatures from Stravinsky’s Danse Sacrale (Rite of Spring)
- Performance with taped authentic Joropo ensemble
- Performance and analysis of Temazcal for maracas and electronic tape by Javier Alvarez
- Demonstration and analysis of maraca part to Varèse Ionization and/or Gershwin’s Cuban Overture
- Discussion of maraca notation
- Use of maracas in orchestral literature
- Discussion of construction of different maraca types and usage
- Optional performance with university percussion ensemble
- Timpani audition strategies
- Opera and symphonic excerpts
- Altering timpani notes in the orchestral/opera literature
- Developing a vibraphone sound through jazz voicings and pedaling/dampening techniques
- Vibraphone excerpts from the opera and symphonic repertoire
Ed has been a guest lecturer/clinician at universities and percussion events throughout the United States and Europe.
Appearances include the Percussive Arts Society (P.A.S.) International Conventions in Austin and Philadelphia as well
as P.A.S. State Day of Percussion events in Illinois, Ohio, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and New Jersey.
